== Homicide ==
Any unlawful and intentional act resulting in the death of another individual within the jurisdiction of Artemis—reserved to a human resident of the planet—shall constitute the crime of Murder, a capital offense under colonial law. Murder is defined as the premeditated, reckless, or knowingly unlawful taking of human life, and carries the most severe penal consequences permissible under the authority of the Governor-General.

This statute shall not apply to lawful killings undertaken in self-defense, in defense of another from imminent harm, or as part of duly authorized law enforcement or military action, as determined by relevant judicial or executive review.

All homicide cases are punished with life sentence with the only possibility to lessen the consequences being a Governor-General's personal pardon.
