PRE-COLONY

• 2145: Professor Callysto's discovery of Planet Artemis and his plan for a mission is announced all over holographic screens across the world. Individuals from the most diverse backgrounds eagerly submitted their applications for the missions.
• 2149: The Artemis Expeditor launches towards Artemis.

• 2169-06-01 (1 June): The Artemis Expeditor began orbiting around Artemis as they prepared for the landing sequence.
• 2169-06-25 (June 25): The Artemis Expeditor Lands on Artemis

• 2170-03-18: Xeroliths attack the colony, resulting in the death of a colonist, Sloan Iverson. (#2361)
• Early/Mid 2170: Colonist Will Hargrave was found deceased in the cargo holds of the Artemis Expeditor. (#472)
• 2170-03: Colonist Roth Calder found deceased in the cave under the copper mine. (#138)
• 2170-03: A salt deposit is discovered in the cave under the copper mine.
• 2170: The first vodka of Artemis was produced from 9 kg of potatoes, a blend of russet, red, and Yukon gold, by Roark Kenrick Mackay and Raymond Jackson.
• 2170-10: Wave 5 Colonists begin waking.
• 2170-10: Colonist Laine Dommersley was found deceased in the copper mine.
• 2170-11 The Judicial Committee is formed after a selection process led by Senior Constable Tate Winters. The committee consists of colonists Michael Cox, Blake Fiachen, Melora Teresi, and Lacuna Nevado. (#450)
• 2170-12: Governor-General Michael Phillips of the Multilateral Base Control (MBC) is arrested for crimes against the colony, including the introduction and improper storage of Neuril-9. (#619, #656)
• 2170-12: Adrian Malik of CyGene takes charge as MBC Governor-General.

2171

• 2171-01-08: An earthquake originating near the eastern side of the Calysto Crater causes a collapse in the crater wall, causing parts of the wall to be scalable.
• 2171-01-08: A perlite deposit is discovered.
• 2171-01-14: Adrian Malik attempts to declare martial law under the pretence of safety, and to 'root out dissenters.' Colonist Blake Fiachen calls for an uprising against tyranny, punching Malik, and is eventually restrained by Senior Constable Tate Winters. Malik is taken into custody under the order of Captain Eli Varnell. Malik is suspected to be part of the Neuril-9 fiasco, along with Phillips.
• Early 2171: Senior Constable Tate Winters is voted in as the next MBC Governor-General while the colony drafts a proposal to Sol to smooth over this transitional government.
• 2171-03: Colonist Icarus Sol perished in a routine patrol, succumbing to hypoxia as they gave away their oxygen mask to save Colonist Andrew Singh.
• 2171-04-20: The IOB Rodent Hunt begins, resulting in a total of 101 kills across 27 separate hunts. Lena Ishari, with 63 kills, takes first place. (#866)
• 2171-08: Stroitel Ventures completes construction on the shell of Icarus Archway and surrounding area, heralding the beginning of the true colonization of Artemis.
• 2171-09-22: A xerolith accesses the ship once more, utilizing the air vent below the zen garden. No major injuries reported, with the creature guided out the airlock after some attempt at feeding and communication. Telepathic contact from another lifeform, dubbing itself the 'Aurivor', is suspected. (#1788, #1769)
• 2171-10-24: An earthquake shakes the very foundations of the Expeditor, uncovering a stunning site of Artemisian beauty south of the habitat. The mouth of a glowing, verdant cave opens, hinting at wonders to come as colonists explore this new world. The area is named Yaochi Grotto.

• 2172-01-15: Blake Fiachen and Professor Thackery Rosenblatt suffer odd, intrusive thoughts about religion and belief before another xerolith attacks inside the habitat. (#2361)
• 2172-02-05: A brief earthquake led to a collapse on some coral east of the Artemis Expeditor, at Callysto Crater. The colony put together a team to explore the eastern crater and found a climbable location that led to the outer rim of the crater.
• 2172-04-14: Colonist Alexander Carrington perished in an incident involving the mysterious Aurivor.
• 2172-04-14: An explosion occurred in the vents of the Artemis Expeditor, exposing a new area. Early reports suggest it is an ancient maintenance shaft that was used by workers while the Expeditor was getting worked on in Sol.
• 2172-05-07: Director Reina Ishikawa died outside of the Artemis Expeditor in a fight with local fauna.

• 2172-06-08: After negotiation with Earth (see #2400), Governor-General Xiaoxin Wang is awoken to take command of Artemis in the wake of Tate Winters' resignation.
• 2172-11-18: The ACC's new headquarters in the nascent District One opens. (#2923)

2173

• 2173-02-25: Through the diligent efforts of demolitions expert Marcus Webber and his team, a pathway is opened south of Hayashi Sands, atop the cliffs on the eastern side of the crater. Many new wonders are uncovered, such as the quoraja tree. (#2880)
• 2173-07-17: The waking of new colonist Amelia Silver proceeds rather strangely when a xerolith bursts into the Habitat and abducts her into the vents. It and a second xerolith are slain to prevent greater harm.
• 2173-11-08: Captain Elysium Varnell of the ACC announces the first official laws of Artemis, codifying the ACC response to Disorderly Conduct. Several subsequent announcements follow as more details are rolled out, transitioning enforcement from direct oversight by the Governor-General into a codified procedure.
• 2173-12-05: PWB tech Perry Walker claims to have had a visitation from a benevolent godlike presence named the Still Light, described as the antithesis of the Aurivor. (#3088)

2174

• 2174-01-15: Sam, a new employee of the Artemis Hydroponics Bureau, announced he was heading out of the Habitat just before a small localized earthquake just to the west shook the ground. A search party investigating the mine thoroughly a short time later found human remains nearly eaten to the bone by a swarm of rats. (#3117)
• 2174-02-26: In protest of alleged MBC corruption and widespread involvement in the Neuril-9 controversy, Gem Falcette declares the founding of the Sacred Planetary Alliance, an organization formed to fight back against those who would harm Artemis. While many were initially sympathetic to her claims, the detonation of a bomb outside the Governor-General's and Deputy's offices - assumed to be her work - soon would find the group labeled terrorists. (#3274)
• 2174-05-06: An attempt by Danny Harris and Melora Teresi to survey the site under the copper mine for potential drilling results in confirmation of an underground aquifer, at the cost of Merek Black's death to a xerolith. (#3396).
