Syntax
assess <target>
For example:
>assess assembler
You look an assembler carefully. This will destructively process any materials with weight and a material type.
This is storing 209 grams of iron.
Importance
This command is helpful for crafting. Some recipes (such as assembly recipes) require you to know how many materials are in a device that can process ore. You can use the assess command for this purpose.
