The Public Works Bureau (PWB) is the department of the Multilateral Base Control of Artemis responsible for the public services provided by the MBC for the colony of Artemis. Operating under the purview of the Chief Engineer of the MCB, they conduct various services for the colony such as cleaning, maintenance, damage assessment, burial services and biological reclamation.
While they do not have any assets or holdings in the colony aside from a tiny maintenance locker, they receive a meager salary handled by the Multilateral Base Control, although there are plans for providing them with their own meager headquarters in the near future.
Sometimes undervalued and often underpaid, the Public Works employees are easily recognizable through their faded grey jumpsuits, often slightly worn, with small, stitched-on patch of a dark-blue gear on it.
It was founded in 2165.
