Retooling is a cosmetic perk for Patreon donators.

It allows you to customize an object that you own in game without altering its value or essence.

You cannot change or add components to the object. You cannot change the object's purpose or make it more expensive. Making it less expensive is fine.

Staff reserve the right to approve or reject retool requests, but we will try to work with the players to find common ground where there is disagreement.

This is an experimental perk that we're monitoring to see how it goes, that allows us to give players certain cosmetic customization for items that normally cannot have personalization, without having extreme staff workload.

Examples

Examples of retooling that are fine:

  • Making a cabinet have color and a logo.
  • Changing the short description of a mattress to have specific color.
  • Having a pattern or design on a kitchen knife.

Examples of retooling that are not fine:

  • Retooling a piece of clothing. This should be done through tailoring.
  • Retooling a room. This should be a construction project.

Process

To get a retool request, you should open a Discord ticket, have the item you want to use on yourself (or your room).

Specify:

  • Where is the item.
  • What is the current short description and description of the item.
  • What do you want to change it to.

Please review our Patreon page to see how many retools per month you can have.
